EMPLOYEE RENT-FREE HOUSING S.B. 1158 (S-1): FLOOR ANALYSIS

The bill would amend the Truth in Renting Act to provide that the Act would not apply to an employer’s provision of rent-free housing to an employee as a benefit or condition of his or her employment. “Rent-free housing” would include premises for which a reasonable fee for use of utilities was charged, if no other fee were charged.
