FY 2011-12 Senate-Passed Gross Appropriation $1,272,142,500
House Changes to Senate-Passed:
  1. Executive Director Programs - Television show production. The House removed $100,000 in funding which reflects the production costs of various TV programs the Department produces. These funds were appropriated to the UIA. Boilerplate language was also included. 0
2. Liquor Control Commission (LCC). The House removed 6.0 FTEs and $1,000,000 from LCC operations and put the funding (not the FTEs) into a new line to support LCC IT upgrades. 0
3. Fire Protection Grants. The Governor and Senate reduced these grants by $1,636,600, or 15%. The House reduced the grants by $2,410,500, or 22%. In all cases these savings are realized by doing a fund source shift within the Bureau of Fire Services. The Bureau is held harmless in the shift. (773,900)
4. Hispanic/Latino Commission. The Governor and Senate reduced funding for the Commission by $80,000, and the Senate removed 1.0 FTE. The House also removed 1.0 FTE, and additionally removed all funding for the commission, save a $100 placeholder. (206,600)
5. Unemployment Insurance Special Fraud Control Fund. The House included a $1,000,000 appropriation from this fund to the Unemployment Insurance Agency. The fund was created by 2011 PA 14 and received penalties and interest revenue from benefit overpayments. 1,000,000
