ANIMAL INDUSTRY ACT (EXCERPT)
Act 466 of 1988


287.701 Short title; scope and construction of act.

Sec. 1.

(1) This act shall be known and may be cited as the “animal industry act”.

(2) This act is intended to protect the health, safety, and welfare of humans and animals, to be consistent with applicable federal and state laws, and shall be so construed.

Compiler's Notes: R 287.710 of the Michigan Administrative Code, which referred to equine infectious anemia, was rescinded by enacting section 2 of 2000 PA 323, Eff. Jan. 1, 2001.
