Sec. 274.

It is the intent of the legislature that public and private organizations that conduct human embryonic stem cell derivation subject to section 27 of article I of the state constitution of 1963 will provide information to the director of the department of community health by December 1, 2012 that includes all of the following:

(a) Documentation that the organization conducting human embryonic stem cell derivation is conducting its activities in compliance with the requirements of section 27 of article I of the state constitution of 1963 and all relevant national institutes of health guidelines pertaining to embryonic stem cell derivation.

(b) A list of all human embryonic stem cell lines submitted by the organization to the national institutes of health for inclusion in the human embryonic stem cell registry before and during fiscal year 2011-2012, and the status of each submission as approved, pending approval, or review completed but not yet accepted.

(c) Number of human embryonic stem cell lines derived and not submitted for inclusion in the human embryonic stem cell registry, before and during fiscal year 2011-2012.
