Act 116 of 1954
168.967 Recall elections; payment of expenses.
The expenses of a special recall election, a recall primary election, a recall general election, or a recall election shall be payable in the same manner as are the costs of a regular election to fill the office in question.

The legislature recognizes the importance of the electoral process, and it is the intent of the legislature that this amendatory act uphold each of the following: (a) Section 4 of article II of the state constitution of 1963. (b) Section 8 of article II of the state constitution of 1963. (c) Section 26 of article V of the state constitution of 1963."
